DAY 0: 1 DAY BEFORE
It’s Prep Day! Welcome to the Radiant Health Detox Course! Today we go through how the upcoming 7 days work and what you need to know to get started for Day 1.
When things get hard, keep coming back to your why! Focus on progress over perfection. Keep a positive mindset. Do your best and enjoy the process.

- Make sure you have everything you need (linked in resources below).
- Decide your fasting option: a) Overnight – 12-16 hours b) 1 day fast c) 2 day fast. You’re welcome to adjust that to meet your own needs.
- Join and use the FB Group. Ask questions, share your journey! We’re stronger together!
- Know what detox symptoms are and how to respond.
DAY 1
It’s Fasting Day! Today some of you will do your first day of fasting! We’re focusing on our nutritional supplements today. We also go through some self-care practices that I like to do on these days which are great if you have the time and space for them.
Throughout the day you might feel tired, low energy or low mood, and that’s okay! If this happens, take some time to rest, or go for a walk, take it easy on yourself. You’ve got this and just go back to your WHY – you want to feel radiant and vibrant!
Key Tips and Takeaways for Today:
- Start with a natural gatorade (see resources below).
- Your focus is on the shakes and supplements. Start one hour after waking. Each time you’ll take 20oz of water and 1 scoop of your shake. You’ll have 4 in total, every 3 and a half hours. The first and fourth shakes will be with supplements (2 FM and 2 AYU). Your second and third shake, NO supplements.
- If you feel yourself getting tired or hungry, have some organic herbal tea or infused herbal or fruit water.
- Dry brushing self-care practice if it’s available to you (guide linked below).
- Try some meditation if you find your mood or energy low and don’t forget that it’s okay to feel this way (free meditation linked below).
DAY 2
‘WHY do a fast?’, we answer this big question today. If it’s your second day of fasting, then you can follow the same method as Day 1. If you’re doing the one day fast, then you can start to do your meal plan.
Let’s take a look at our more profound question for today: why do a fast? For our body, mind and soul.
BODY: When we fast, we use our inner resources that go into digestion to go into the deepest level of healing (autophagy). Simply put this is the process of cleaning out damaged cells to regenerate new healthier cells. We take supplements so that our liver gets the nutrients it needs to function at its best.
MIND: We are cultivating self-discipline, we learn how to process our emotions in an internal way instead of reaching to the outside.
SOUL: We can go beyond the physical and nourish ourselves from within. I’d like to invite you to ask yourself, ‘How can I nourish my soul?’. Think about some non-food related things that you can do to nourish yourself deep within. Maybe a nature walk, appreciation, or sitting with a friend.

- Dive inwards and reflect on your soul nourishment for today. A great way to do this is during a warm Epsom salt bath (resource linked below).
- Empower yourself to nourish your body, mind and soul beyond the physical. Believe in yourself, that you can process your emotions by reflecting inwards.
- Stay motivated! You CAN do this.
DAY 3
Congrats, the hardest part is over! If you’ve been fasting the last 2 days, today you’re easing back into solid food. Fasting isn’t easy, but no matter how long you fasted for, you can rest assured that you got so many benefits to kickstart your detox and healing journey!
Today your energy levels should largely be restored as you come back to solid food, but it’s not a day to push yourself too hard. You can go for a walk, a gentle workout or yoga class but nothing too intense. Tomorrow you’ll be feeling even more energized!
A few things switch today:
- 8:00am Breakfast: You can continue with your natural Gatorade upon waking followed by either just the morning shake (but with TWO scoops now instead of one.) OR you can opt for a morning smoothie with berries, greens, healthy fat (like coconut milk) with 2 scoops of your DNS shake inside. (Don’t forget your 2 caps of AYU Detox and 2 caps FM Detox with breakfast!). (See links below for recipes and references).
- 11:30am Lunch: As this is your first meal back from fasting, I recommend a simple, light, plant based meal that is cooked to ease digestion. (Think soups or steamed or baked vegetables with dal.)
- 3:00pm Have an additional afternoon snack shake with TWO scoops of DNS. You can mix with plain water, or if you’re hungry add in 1/2 banana or a handful of berries and blend.
- 6:30pm Dinner: Enjoy 1/2 your plate vegetables, 1/4 healthy starch like sweet potato or pumpkin and 1/4 of your plate with a detox-friendly plant based or paleo protein. A soup or stew is also a great option coming off fasting!
DAY 4
This is the halfway point if you’re doing the 7 day detox, but if you’re going for longer, you’re making BIG strides in your health! Awesome job! Let’s talk Detox Power Hour!
Check in with yourself today to see how you’re feeling, maybe you feel energized, or have more mental clarity or perhaps you have some brain fog or you’re not feeling your greatest. All of these are common on day 4 and how you feel depends on how much detox your body needs. Whether you’re feeling great or not your best, that’s okay, it’s all part of the detox process.
Here’s a reminder of what your day looks like:
- 8:00am Breakfast: Start with natural gatorade once you’ve woken up, then a smoothie or shake (2 FM, 2 AYU capsules)
- 11:30am Lunch
- 3:00pm Afternoon snack: Smoothie or shake
- 6:30 Dinner (2 FM, 2 AYU capsules)
It’s okay if you’re feeling or seeing a lot of symptoms today, just stick with it and keep showing up for yourself. By tomorrow, you’re going to be feeling amazing!
Key Tips and Takeaways Today:
- Try your Detox Power Hour (see resources below). Remember, this can be done at any point during your detox but it’s especially important when you’re feeling a lot of detox symptoms or you’re midway and want to support your body and give it that extra push.
- You should be having a minimum of two bowel movements a day through this detox. If you find you’re constipated, you’ll want to do your best to eliminate, and a coffee enema can help (protocol below).
- Start building those healthy food habits (see tips below).
- Try some meal prep to help with the week ahead.
DAY 5
Wow you’ve come so far! At this point in your detox journey, you can start to ask yourself, ‘what will my success story be?’
Day 5 is a glorious day as you may be getting excited and into the groove of nourishing your body. You’re probably noticing a lot of benefits like more energy, a boost in your mood, better digestion, and more balance in your blood sugar and hormones. It’s also normal if you still have some detox symptoms at this point. We want to focus on stress reduction, it’s not just our body that needs to heal, it’s our mind as well.
Throughout our busy day, we’re often in a ‘sympathetic state’ which is your nervous system trying to cope with stress BUT we want to be more in a ‘parasympathetic state’ as this is where we heal, digest, rest. Just as your body detox is important, we also want to alleviate your mind’s stressors. Less stress, more healing.
Key Tips and Takeaways Today:
- Aim for at least 15 minutes of hanging out in your ‘parasympathetic state’ (resource linked below).
- Get back into your normal activities, just try to avoid starting anything brand new like a HIT workout if you’ve never done it before.
- Continue to monitor yourself for detox symptoms.
- Find ways to incorporate stress-relieving activities into your daily, weekly and monthly life. Your body and mind will thank you for it!
- You’re doing great, your body is feeling the benefits, and your mind is grateful for the nourishment you’re giving it. Enjoy that meditation, calming Epsom salt bath (linked below), nature walk – whatever it is that brings you into a state of relaxation and calmness.
DAY 6
Can you believe that in 24 hours, 7 days of detoxing will be complete? How exciting! Today you’ll likely feel like you’re really in the rhythm of cooking your meals and having your morning and afternoon shakes. Now is a great time to check in and think about how you’ll incorporate aspects of this detox lifestyle into your life after the detox.
You’re doing wonders for your body by cleaning out these toxins, and we want to maintain what you’ve achieved! You’ve taken the first step towards radiant health, and it’s a great time to think about how you can maintain this or find balance in some areas that you notice need some work.
We want you to have that zest for life and to have energy to wake up in the morning!
Key Points for Moving Forward:
- Remember that it’s ideal to do a detox 4 times a year, when each season changes, and doing two at minimum is best during the spring and fall.
- Think about how you can best support yourself if you find you regularly feel things like anxiety, poor sleep, low mood, bloating, constipation, period issues or pain. Here are a couple options I normally suggest to the women I work with.
- Option 1 is where we go through wellness assessments to find out what’s out of balance and create a personalized protocol to achieve balance again.
- Option 2 is when we do functional medicine lab testing (subclinical lab testing) and analyze your hormone levels and see where your body is at through the data we collect and put you on a personalized hormone balancing protocol.
- Consider how you can maintain the progress you’ve achieved with the daily foundational protocols (see resources below). *IMPORTANT NOTE* probiotics can’t be recommended if you have gut related issues as this could be candida overgrowth and I would recommend an assessment first.
DAY 7
You made it to day 7! Yay! Not everyone can do this, so I hope you’re proud of what you’ve achieved! You’ve given yourself such a precious gift. If you’re continuing on to 14 or 21 days, you can celebrate your progress so far! Congratulations!
If you originally only planned to do 7 but would like to continue, you can! You’re welcome to do another round, with or without the fasting days, it depends on you and your body’s needs. At this point in the detox you can see and feel so many benefits and you’ve gotten yourself to ground zero and this is the perfect opportunity to use this momentum to optimize your health moving forward.

- Think about what you gave up that you didn’t think you were able to. Then you can think about how you can incorporate aspects of this into your lifestyle.
- Try doing these quarterly detoxes or if that’s not accessible, two per year (spring and fall).
- Maintenance protocols like multivitamins or probiotics are an excellent way to keep up with your vibrant energy and maintain your nutritional status. - Tomorrow you can start to ease off of the detox. Here are the ways you can transition into your newly adjusted, radiant lifestyle; incorporate smoothies with berries, vegetables and healthy fats, add more starch to your diet, add grains in one at a time and every 72 hours to check for food sensitivities as these symptoms can show up from 24-72hrs, (brain fog, low mood, skin issues, bloating, water retention, puffiness

CELEBRATE AND WRAP UP
At this point you feel energized and amazing! Whether you’ve finished your 7 days or are continuing on, you can acknowledge and celebrate what you’ve accomplished! This is an incredible feat! It’s a great time to reflect and notice what shifts you’ve created for yourself, both in your body and mind.
If you are continuing with the detox, remember that you can do the 1 or 2 days of fasting or keep going with the meal plan. If you’re finished with the detox, it’s an excellent time to retake your toxicity test! Now you can notice which symptoms have gone down, or decreased and which have stayed the same. When you see or feel the same symptoms this could be an indication of something else like a deeper imbalance and not toxin related.
Key Points to Move Forward:
- Follow the everyday balanced meal plan if you’d like to keep up with your progress (linked in comments below).
- When reintroducing new foods, do so every 72 hours to see if you have any food sensitivities.
- Continue with two smoothies per day for breakfast and afternoon snack. Add some berries and veggies because we can’t do shakes forever.
- You can continue with those meal times every 3.5 hours, that’s generally good for most people. It helps level out your cortisol levels.
- Flex meals are great because we are focusing on progress over perfection. A nice guideline is the 80% rule – if you’re feeding your body well 80% of the time, it’s okay to have those flex meals like cake.
